You read that right. This is an artist’s choice mug selection. One of the Gravesco Pottery artists will choose a mug for you from the new Loft Collection. Each mug is unique and will be a lovely surprise in your post.
Working in a production pottery studio where we make the same forms day after day allows us to hone our skills on specific details that make our pottery identifiable as our own. At some point, though, we need to just have some fun! The Artist’s choice mugs are a fun exercise in playfulness. We start with a stack of prepared clay, all the same size, with the intent of making no two mugs exactly the same.
Each mug holds approximately 16 ounces of your favorite hot or cold beverage. They are microwave and dishwasher safe. The clay is a rich shade of tan and the glaze is a crisp white that just allows the edges of the marks in the clay to show through. Every mug has Rebecca’s signature handle that is pinched just so as it is made so your fingers rest right where hers do. It’s like holding hands but you won’t catch the cooties from it.
We appreciate that you’re about to allow us to choose a new favorite mug for you!
Approximately 2" diameter and just the right size for a pinch of this and a pinch of that. These little treasures are also beautiful for sushi. We use them for rings by the sink, pills in the morning, a single decadent truffle, as salt cellars, for little add-your-own spices at dinner, tea bags, food prep when cooking and anything else that fits.
Each set contains 3 unique pieces in a single color.
While these are dishwasher safe they're small enough that it may be a challenge to keep them in the rack. If you choose to put them in the dishwasher we recommend popping them into the silverware holder.

It won't matter if you're sitting at the table, counter or snuggled on the sofa with a bowl of pasta goodness using your new handmade pasta bowl is going to make dinner extra special. Everything looks gourmet in these bowls, even if your pasta is as simple as buttered noodles with a smattering of parmesan and dried parsley. We're not going to judge you for what you eat in them as long as you're using them.
When my friends Bob and Katie messaged me asking if I would make them a set of pasta bowls I was all over it. I'd been looking for a reason to add these to the assortment and having an order for them was the perfect impetus. We have Bob & Katie to thank for inspiring these new bowls!
These pottery bowls are not limited to pasta. The shape is a favorite of chefs for all sorts of dishes because of the way that the bowl envelopes the food, framing it and making it look extra special. We love to use these bowls for thick stews, pasta, cereal, a rustic roast with root vegetables, salads, fruit, or as a serving bowl for a side dish at a family style dinner.
Just in case you're REALLY into plants, these bowls also make a gorgeous succulent planter centerpiece with a landscape of different succulents.
Measures approximately 8" diameter and 2.25" high.
Interior is glazed. Exterior is unglazed.
Microwave & dishwasher safe.
Oven safe if you put the bowls into a cool oven and slowly bring it up to temperature.
Each bowl is handmade and completely unique. We make families of bowls, not exact clones which means you can expect lovely subtle differences in each piece. That's what we love so much about handmade pottery!

The Loft Mug will become your daily go-to for everything from your morning coffee to your evening tea. Curl up and cuddle this generously sized mug while you contemplate the current state of affairs, or even better, while daydreaming of a time the world returns to some sense of normalcy.
Each mug is handmade in our Pottery studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. Up to eight artisans are involved in the making of each ceramic mug. We put our passion and dedication for slow living into every step of the process.
Holds approximately 16 ounces of coffee, tea, water, juice, soup, mac n cheese, wine, frosty cold beer, kombucha, miso or whatever else you might want to put in it.
The signature handle fits comfortably in your hand. Your fingers will nestle into each divot creating a comfortable rhythm of our fingers and yours.
All our pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe (with the exception of the rare occurence when we put some gold luster on something. We've all microwaved something metal in our lives, right? Just to see what happens? No? Just me? I don't buy it).
As always we offer $5 flat rate shipping on your entire order shipped within the continental United States.
Thank you to Michael Louis Schrader for the photos! He was doing another shoot and for a client when I wandered by with a handful of mugs and stuck them out in front of the pretty yellow for him to take a shot of. lol. Thank you, Michael, for always being willing to play along.
After years of throwing all my pots on a wheel because I didn’t have the space for slab work and hand building I’m starting to rediscover the joy of hand building and the rustic elements it brings to functional ware.
The Wobble Bowls are making a fresh appearance on the website again. They small bowls are just the right size for all sorts of dishes from ice cream to pasta, salad and soup or plating beautiful food like Jason Michael Thomas and the larger bowl is perfect for serving 2-6 people a main dish or side dish. It’s also lovely as a centerpiece filled with fruit.
If your food is humble or glorious it will feel special. One of my favorite things about slow living and daily rituals is that even the mundane becomes elevated when you take the time to enjoy the entire experience.
Don’t forget, we have $5 flat rate shipping on all orders shipped in the continental United States!
The wobble bowls measure approximately 6” diameter and 2” high. The Wobble Serving Bowl measures approximately 11” diameter and 3.5” high. Each one is completely unique and shows the marks of the maker’s hands, delightful glaze variations and is an individual work of art.
Summer may be winding down now that September has arrived but that doesn’t mean an end to delicious cocktails in your new favorite handmade Tiki inspired tumbler.
Holds approximately 16-18 ounces of your favorite poison from a tropical island frothy concoction to just straight gin n juice with a fancy umbrella. You like to play it old-school with a Harvey Wallbanger, this is the cup for you. Not feeling the booze right now? I’ll let you in on a little secret....this is my new favorite chocolate milk cup. You can use it to drink anything you want!
Let me tell you a little bit about how this was made. I started off by throwing a cylinder on the wheel using my favorite clay and let it dry part way until it was just the right texture for carving. The design was free-hand carved, it was allowed to dry completely then the cup was fired to 1800 degrees in my electric kiln. Essentially, that turned this cup into a rolling stamp! Once cooled, I am now able to roll this stamp over a slab of clay, cut it out and hand build the tumbler. It’s not any faster than throwing a cup by hand, in fact it takes about 3x longer than doing it on the wheel, but I love how the textures look and feel using this technique and also appreciate the consistency of the image that I just can’t get if I’m hand carving each individual cup.
I hope you enjoy drinking all your beverages from these new cups because I really enjoyed making them for you!
Remember, we offer $5 flat rate shipping on your entire order in the continental United States and if you’re in Indianapolis you can choose “pick up at studio” for free! We will be having regular pick up hours 2 days each week at our studio in the Mass Ave Maker’s Corridor.
Warm maple syrup drizzling over piping hot pancakes is the stuff of Canadian fantasies. My husband, Christopher, is from Ontario, Canada and he takes his maple syrup seriously and in copious amounts. The first time I heated it up in one of these little pitchers for him was probably the closest he's been to nirvana.
Treat your family to warm maple syrup and you'll be able to sit back and bask in the silence while they stuff their faces with the deliciousness.
I like to simply pour syrup in the pitcher and pop it in the microwave for 30-60 seconds and it's good to go straight to the table. The handle stays cool even while the syrup is piping hot. The little dent in the side of the pitcher beneath the handle allows a little extra room for your knuckles so they don't touch the heat. We like to think of every little details when designing something new.
It's not just great for heating up your maple syrup! You can use this kitchen gem as a pitcher for cream for coffee. Just pop it in the fridge for a couple hours and it will keep your cream chilled all the way through dessert.
We also love to use these for sauces. It's terrific for a homemade salad dressing or to make your bottle of store-bought italian dressing look extra fancy. No one will know you didn't whip it up by hand and we're not going to tell them.
The Christopher Pitcher and a container of 100% pure maple syrup make a fabulous hostess gift. It's a treat many people won't buy for themselves but will enjoy immensely!
Holds approximately 6-8 ounces when filled to the top or enough syrup for 4 people who like a generous serving.
Food safe. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe.

There is something so delightful about little pots. When you put a little succulent in a little pot it's like cute to the tenth power!
We also love to use these tiny handmade pottery planters for wheat grass, sprouting micro-greens and chia.
Each set of 3 tiny succulent planters includes one straight side, one cone, and one round planter in a single planter.
There is no hole in the bottom of these little planters but don't worry, all you have to do is put a little gravel in the bottom for drainage. When we water our succulents we douse them well then pour out the extra water into the sink so it isn't waterlogged. Just follow your watering instructions for your particular plant and you'll be fine!
As always, we have flat rate $5 shipping on your entire order in the continental United States.
Grilled cheese and a handful of chips, a giant slice of chocolate cake, a small healthy salad, a crusty piece of bread to go along with dinner or a few appetizers at your next party. Whatever you decide to use them for, we're sure you'll be reaching for the Everyday Sandwich + Dessert Plate as often as we do.
Measures approximately 7" diameter. Each plate is completely handmade and individually unique.
Made of high fire white stoneware for durability. Perfect for entertaining, every day use or even restaurant ware.
Microwave and dishwasher safe, though, I do recommend hand washing since things bang around quite a bit in the dishwasher. If you choose to use the dishwasher anyway, your cup will last much longer if you're careful to place it where it won't vibrate or bang against other dishes.
Each piece of pottery is carefully wrapped and packed to ensure safe delivery.
You might also enjoy the Batik Soup + Latte mug for a soup and sandwich set.
