Classic White Ceramic Travel Mug Mug Rebecca Graves Pottery
ounce ounce
$ 42.00

Coffee on the go is the only way to go in my opinion. While I consider virtually any mug to be a travel mug, it's a lot handier to have one with a silicone lid that keeps the liquid gold from splashing onto the center console of your car every morning.

After 3 years of product development and testing different styles I've finally landed on the travel mug that passed everyone's litmus test in the first round of samples. They're easy to clean, fit your cup holder, are eco-friendly handmade pottery, supporting a small woman-owned business, coffee shops seem to love it when you bring in your own cup (at least here in Indianapolis), no more plastic lids going into the landfill, and best of all it is one of a kind. Yep.  Even when I  make a hundred of something, each one is a little bit different and bears the marks of the makers' hands.

We hope you enjoy your favorite hot (or cold) beverage in one of our handmade classic travel mugs.

We tend to use them without  the silicone band around here which seems fine for a latte, cappuccino or even an Americano. We have found, though, that if you love a good drip coffee you're definitely going to want the silicone heat band or be super crafty and make your own coffee sleeve.

The large 18-20 oz travel mug includes a silicone band. The 10oz and 14-16 oz do not at this point. If you get yours and think you really wish you had a silicone band just shoot us a message and when we get our next shipment we'll drop one in the mail for you. We're still learning about what people will really use and attempting to minimize waste.

Your new favorite travel mug is also microwave and dishwasher safe!

Enjoy!

Vintage Rose Loft Mug - Special Edition Rebecca Graves Pottery Vintage Rose Loft Mug - Special Edition Rebecca Graves Pottery
Soldout
$ 25.00

The Vintage Rose Loft Mug is a special edition just in time for Mother's Day. If you just love the bejeezus out of it like we do, maybe we'll make some more!

The Loft Mug is a cozy, snuggle up and enjoy a moment's peace kind of mug. The shape is curvy to nestle in your hand but the base is wide enough to be sturdy. You can sit it down on the table without worrying it will tip over.

The throwing rings (marks from my fingers as I make the mug on my potter's wheel) give your fingers a comfortable place to rest or a soft line to trace back and forth with your fingertips in meditation.

It holds a whopping 14-15 ounces of your favorite beverage without looking like a ginormous lug of a mug and the lip is angled just so, on purpose, to be smooth against your lip but sharp enough it doesn't dribble...unless you've filled it with an adult beverage and in that case any dribbling is probably on you.

Yes. You could salt the rim and fill it with a margarita and call it your comfy margarita cup. I'm down with that and your mom probably will be, too, if you give her one for Mother's Day.

During the summer, toss it in the freezer and enjoy a frosty cold beverage or keep your rosé chilled without ice. Because ew. Ice.

It's microwave and dishwasher safe.

For the month of April, $5 from the sale of every Vintage Rose Loft Mug will be used to purchase a fresh food box that will be paid forward to an Indianapolis artist!

The Loft Mug will become your daily go-to for everything from your morning coffee to your evening tea. Curl up and cuddle this generously sized mug while you contemplate the current state of affairs, or even better, while daydreaming of a time the world returns to some sense of normalcy.

Each mug is handmade in our Pottery studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. Up to eight artisans are involved in the making of each ceramic mug. We put our passion and dedication for slow living into every step of the process.

Holds approximately 16 ounces of coffee, tea, water, juice, soup, mac n cheese, wine, frosty cold beer, kombucha, miso or whatever else you might want to put in it.

The signature handle fits comfortably in your hand. Your fingers will nestle into each divot creating a comfortable rhythm of our fingers and yours.

All our pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe (with the exception of the rare occurence when we put some gold luster on something. We've all microwaved something metal in our lives, right? Just to see what happens? No? Just me? I don't buy it).

As always we offer $5 flat rate shipping on your entire order shipped within the continental United States.

Thank you to Michael Louis Schrader for the photos! He was doing another shoot and for a client when I wandered by with a handful of mugs and stuck them out in front of the pretty yellow for him to take a shot of. lol. Thank you, Michael, for always being willing to play along.

Tiki Inspired Cocktail Tumbler Cup Rebecca Graves Pottery Tiki Inspired Cocktail Tumbler Cup Rebecca Graves Pottery

$ 36.00

Summer may be winding down now that September has arrived but that doesn’t mean an end to delicious cocktails in your new favorite handmade Tiki inspired tumbler.

Holds approximately 16-18 ounces of your favorite poison from a tropical island frothy concoction to just straight gin n juice with a fancy umbrella. You like to play it old-school with a Harvey Wallbanger, this is the cup for you. Not feeling the booze right now? I’ll let you in on a little secret....this is my new favorite chocolate milk cup. You can use it to drink anything you want!

Let me tell you a little bit about how this was made. I started off by throwing a cylinder on the wheel using my favorite clay and let it dry part way until it was just the right texture for carving. The design was free-hand carved, it was allowed to dry completely then the cup was fired to 1800 degrees in my electric kiln. Essentially, that turned this cup into a rolling stamp! Once cooled, I am now able to roll this stamp over a slab of clay, cut it out and hand build the tumbler. It’s not any faster than throwing a cup by hand, in fact it takes about 3x longer than doing it on the wheel, but I love how the textures look and feel using this technique and also appreciate the consistency of the image that I just can’t get if I’m hand carving each individual cup.

I hope you enjoy drinking all your beverages from these new cups because I really enjoyed making them for you!

Remember, we offer $5 flat rate shipping on your entire order in the continental United States and if you’re in Indianapolis you can choose “pick up at studio” for free! We will be having regular pick up hours 2 days each week at our studio in the Mass Ave Maker’s Corridor.

Walking through the wild lands with Hugo, his trusted furry sidekick, Jason Michael Thomas of Urban Awareness Gardens forages delicious, wild crafted teas for your health and pleasure.

Imagine settling in your favorite cozy spot with a handmade mug filled with your new favorite caffeine-free herbal tea while you let the stresses of the day drift away.

Each tea jar is handmade by Rebecca Graves and filled with delicious foraged tea from Jason Michael Thomas. Choose from white mulberry, goldenrod or nettle. Each tea jar holds enough loose tea for 4-6 pots of tea. If you don't have a tea pot with a strainer and would like unbleached paper tea bags to fill yourself, drop a note when you check out and we will add a few to your package.

Because the tea is foraged and not farmed, there is a limited supply available.

Are you wondering what these teas taste like? We've got you covered:

  • Goldenrod Tea - wait to steep when the water has cooled from boiling about 3-5 minutes for a smoother flavour. Goldenrod Tea is a gorgeous soft golden green color and tastes herbal with a hint of floral. It's light and fresh on its own or wonderful with a wee bit of honey or citrus.
  • Nettle Tea - this lovely green leafy tea tastes a bit nutty like a pan roasted green tea. We love the Nettle Tea alone, without honey, but it would also be delicious with honey or a hint of vanilla.
  • White Mulberry Tea - oven roasted to bring out the flavor, the White Mulberry Tea is similar to the flavour of an oolong tea. It is also delightful steeped on its own or add a touch of honey to sweeten it slightly.

The gift set includes a handmade mug and a recyclable paper container filled with Jason's delicious tea.

Steeping instructions and more information about the wellness benefits of your tea will be included with shipping.

$5 flat rate shipping on your entire order in the continental United States!

Your morning ritual of coffee or evening ritual of tea is just a little more special when you have a handmade scoop to add a connection to a slower lifestyle.

Each ceramic spoon is handmade in our studio using a tan stoneware clay  and only the inside of the spoon is glazed for an elegant but rustic look. We don't recommend you use this as a spoon for wet things, but it is perfect for dry. Use it to scoop your coffee into the filter or loose leaf tea into the tea pot.

The Coffee + Tea Scoop is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Thank you to Suzy Schmigel of The Cedar Shake for the lovely photos.

Please allow 1-3 weeks for delivery of all our handmade pottery.

Skulls have fascinated me since childhood. I’ve always been interested in what lies beneath the surface and this certainly qualifies! It is soothing to me to consider that each of us is made the same way from the inside and the primary variations begin with such subtle differences in our skeletal system. Perhaps that is a bit too deep to contemplate while discussing something so humble as a tea bowl.

On the other hand, skulls are just badass.

This particular skull stamp was made in the studio based on one of my signature illustrations.

We’ll intuitively choose just the right handmade tea bowl for you. Each one is a little bit different and unique just like you.

Reading tea leaves or sipping your favorite tea for pleasure is one of the best daily rituals I can think of. While sometimes I enjoy a ginormous mug of tea, more often I prefer a small cup with my cast iron tea pot keeping my brew nice and hot for the next refill.

Holds approximately 6 ounces
