Preparing a home cooked meal or baking for the holidays always feels so much more special when using handmade bowls and utensils. There's something about that connection to another person inspired by making things that just makes it inspiring.
The small wood baking spatulas are hand carved by an artisan in Illinois. The woods are a variety of species and sealed with a natural beeswax and oil sealant to make them last a long time.
We love these for scraping the sides of bowls, mixing, cutting dough, making impressions in cookie tops and a whole host of other tasks. They also make a lovely spreader for clarified butter, cheese spreads or jams.
Hand wash to clean and recoat lightly with a food safe wood wax (or beeswax and coconut oil). DO NOT put these babies in the dishwasher. The detergent will strip the wax and oil from the wood and cause them to split, splinter and degrade. Treat them well and they will last a lifetime.
Measures approximately 7.5" long and 1.25" wide. Each one is completely unique and we encourage you to embrace the one of a kind beauty and marks of the maker's hand.
