When I settle in to be creative I usually indulge in a little ritual. First I prepare something delicious to drink in a favorite handmade mug like some JMT Mulberry Tea then light an incense cone. There is something about the delicious beverage and scent of my favorite Nag Champa incense cone burning in my Goddess Incense Burner that allows me to relax into the process of designing something new.

When I was working in the corporate world, I needed a ritual to unwind at the end of a hectic and stressful day. Now I use the same ritual to transition from production into creativity.

Working with Deb of Flowering Moon, I've also learned a good deal about manifestation. She is generous with her sharing of the symbols of the divine feminine and how the Goddess plays into our history and modern day lives. The handmade pottery cone incense burner can be used for more than just incense, if you're so inclined. It's a wonderful little ritual hearth for burning sage, resin incense on a charcoal disc or burning small prayers and effigies as part of a ritual.

However you choose to use your Goddess Incense Burner and Ritual Hearth, I hope it enhances your day and eases your anxieties.

Each handmade ceramic lidded incense burner is thrown on my potters' wheel in a single piece. There is an opening at the back for inserting your favorite thing to burn and for cleaning. Once lit, the smoke draws through the hole in the top creating a visual feast for casual enjoyment or meditation.

Because each burner is unique, you may not receive the one in the photo, but you will receive a burner like it that has its own character. This is the best part of handmade! No two are alike.

Your Goddess Incense Burner and Ritual Hearth will include a small amount of silica sand to place in the bottom so the item burning is not directly on the ceramic surface. The bottom of the burner has been trimmed to allow as little surface as possible to touch your table but I still recommend that when burning you place it on a non-flammable surface that can withstand the heat of burning incense.

NOTE: the incense burner will be hot while burning and for a short time after. Do not move it while burning.

For cleaning you may use soapy water or your favorite method for cleansing your ritual tools such as smudging or rinsing with salted water.
