Hand painted Majolica Corn Ornament
Because Indiana Knows How to Get Corny
Well butter my biscuit, if it isn't the most Indiana ornament ever! Our ceramic corn on the cob is here to add some Hoosier pride to your holiday tree, because nothing says "Midwest represent" quite like hanging an ear of sweet corn between your tinsel and twinkle lights.
Each ornament is crafted using a 8th-century Majolica technique that we've cornified for modern tastes (yes, we just made that word up). We start with earthenware clay, add three coats of glossy white glaze, then hand-paint each kernel using watercolor-style washes in the perfect shade of sweet corn sunshine. Those detailed husks and black line work? All painted by hand, because we take our corn as seriously as any good Indiana studio should.
Perfect for:
- Proud Hoosiers (near and far)
- Anyone who knows the difference between sweet corn and field corn
- That friend who plans their summer around corn season
- Starting conversations about your Midwest roots
- Adding some farmstand charm to your holiday decor
- Please keep in mind each ornament is completely unique. We embrace the individual variances that make handmade pottery so special.
- Dimensions: 2 1/4" x 4 1/2"
- Materials: Earthenware clay, lead-free glazes
- Care: Wipe clean with a soft cloth
- Limited Edition: Yes, and when they're gone, they're gone!
Ready to add some Indiana-made magic to your holiday decor? Grab your cornament now and let's make your tree a celebration of the Heartland. Because nothing says "I appreciate the finer things in life" quite like a perfectly glazed ceramic ear of corn taking center stage on your tree. (And unlike the real thing, you won't need to floss after handling this one!)
