Coffee on the go is the only way to go in my opinion. While I consider virtually any mug to be a travel mug, it's a lot handier to have one with a silicone lid that keeps the liquid gold from splashing onto the center console of your car every morning.

After 3 years of product development and testing different styles I've finally landed on the travel mug that passed everyone's litmus test in the first round of samples. They're easy to clean, fit your cup holder, are eco-friendly handmade pottery, supporting a small woman-owned business, coffee shops seem to love it when you bring in your own cup (at least here in Indianapolis), no more plastic lids going into the landfill, and best of all it is one of a kind. Yep.  Even when I  make a hundred of something, each one is a little bit different and bears the marks of the makers' hands.

We tend to use them without  the silicone band around here which seems fine for a latte, cappuccino or even an Americano. We have found, though, that if you love a good drip coffee you're definitely going to want the silicone heat band or be super crafty and make your own coffee sleeve.

The large 18-20 oz travel mug includes a silicone band. The 10oz and 14-16 oz do not at this point. If you get yours and think you really wish you had a silicone band just shoot us a message and when we get our next shipment we'll drop one in the mail for you. We're still learning about what people will really use and attempting to minimize waste.

The handle is made by attaching the clay to the body of the mug that was thrown on the wheel then we pinch it in a very specific pattern to cradle your fingers. A pretty plant hanging near the window has always seemed so charming to me. This hanging planter will work beautifully for any plants like air plants, spider plants, succulents and ivy. 

Place a couple tablespoons of small gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage (since there isn't a hole), then fill with the appropriate potting soil for your plant ensuring the dirt does not touch the twine as that can cause the natural jute twine to rot and break, place your plant in, water appropriately and enjoy.

With the breezes blowing softly, but insistently, through the open windows of our carriage house loft apartment are no match for The Tangle when it comes to keeping my paperwork stationary on the table where I often work in the morning. When not employed for its truly functional purpose, The Tangle is a textural object d'art that graces the top of a stack of books or shelf with elegance and invites you to touch.

A request for a paperweight was the original inspiration for The Tangle. Playing with long extruded coils of dark brown Kentucky clay, I combined my weaving and sculpture skills to create a functional paperweight that is a completely unique object d'art.

Because of the process, no two are exactly the same. You may not receive the exact Tangle that is pictured here, but yours will be equally graceful and completely one of a kind.

 The red glaze is being discontinued. Some of the red planters may be slightly warped at the top edge, however, when hanging and planted it looks perfectly fine and you cannot tell that the lip has a slight warp to it.
