You don't need silicone for your non-stick cookware if you have one of these gorgeous, hand carved cherry wood spatulas. Treat yourself to good tools and every day cooking feels like a special treat.
Each cherry wood spatula is coated with a natural blend of beeswax and olive oil to protect the wood. All it needs is a light wipe to clean it. Avoid using harsh detergents or soaking it in water. Definitely do not put it in the dishwasher (or any other wood, for that matter) as the detergent will strip out the protective wax and damage the spatula. If it starts to lose its lustre or feel dry simply rub it with your favorite food safe wax blend. We like a cutting board wax, but I've also been known to melt down some beeswax and coconut oil or olive oil and store it in a low container to rub onto my kitchen woods.
