FREE Swiss Cross knitting pattern.
Swiss Crosses are an obsession of mine this year. I love the message of neutrality and peace in a world so obviously divided on social media. The black and white simplicity always delights me. There is something so delicious about the classic combination and this super bulky yarn adds a modern, fun twist.
I love apple crisp. It's one of the things I always look forward to in the fall and when I started the Autoimmune elimination protocol to figure out what my food triggers are that cause inflammation, joint pain, migraines and a host of other health issues I thought I'd be giving this up for good. Not true at all!
Here is my favorite new dessert recipe for an AIP, gluten free, grain free, sugar free (maple syrup instead of refined sugar) and vegan apple crisp.
AIP (autoimmune protocol) friendly carob brownies with fudgy date frosting definitely hit the spot when it comes to curbing my chocolate cravings. It doesn't taste like chocolate - get that idea out of your head or you'll be disappointed. It does, however, taste pretty ok and the texture is *chef's kiss* if you ask me. It's a healthier alternative to traditional desserts and is gluten free, grain free, egg free, sugar free, nut free, and could be made vegan if you eliminate the collagen peptides.
