Yarn with a story, texture with personality.

These skeins aren't mass-produced on factory machines—they're created one twist at a time on my spinning wheel, with fibers thoughtfully selected from a stash that would make any fiber artist weak in the knees. Each skein begins as a curated collection of colors and textures that catch my eye and ask to play together.

The magic happens when these fibers meet my drum carder, transforming separate elements into a one-of-a-kind art batt. Then comes the meditative part: spinning one ply from this unique batt and another from pure, buttery merino wool. The result? A two-ply yarn with personality—textured and interesting on one side, grounded by merino's reliability on the other.

No two skeins are alike. Each carries the subtle variations and intentional inconsistencies that tell you a real human made this. These aren't perfect factory yarns—they're perfectly imperfect artistic expressions that bring character to your projects.

Whether you're looking for a statement yarn to elevate a simple pattern or the perfect gift for a fiber enthusiast who has everything, these skeins bring something special to the making experience.

Features:

  • Each skein varies in weight and length (see variants for specific details)
  • Two-ply construction: one ply of art batt, one ply of pure merino wool
  • Handspun on a traditional spinning wheel

  • Thick and thin yarn is equivalent to a chunky or super chunky weight yarn and works best on size 11-15 knitting needles depending on the type of fabric you want to make with it.
  • Perfect for accessories, statement pieces, and artistic fiber projects
  • Made by hand in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Limited edition—only 24 skeins available
  • Each skein comes with a hand-tagged label featuring our signature bird with spindle graphic

What Makes This Yarn Special:

Most commercial yarns—even those labeled "hand-dyed"—are spun by machines. These skeins are different. From selecting the fibers to turning the spinning wheel, human hands (specifically, mine) touch every inch of this yarn. The result is textile art before you even cast on your first stitch—texture and color variations that tell a story no factory could replicate.
