Inside, you’ll find dried orange for joy, cinnamon for warmth, clove for protection, star anise for clarity, rosemary for remembrance, bay leaf for good fortune, and cedar to clear out the old energy so the new year can find its way in.
Pour it all into a pot with water and let it bubble on low while you wrap gifts, write cards, or just sit still for a minute. When the day winds down, turn it off and let it rest overnight. Add more water tomorrow and start again—some things deserve a second round.
